Laurys Firehouse Park is our newest park for North Whitehall Township. Directions are driving Neffs Laurys Road towards Laurys Station, turn right onto Egypt Road, turn right into Laurys Station Volunteer Fire Company; Park is on the right hand side of the Fire Company. Another route is Clearview Road towards Laurys Station, turn left onto Egypt Road, turn right into Laurys Station Volunteer Fire Company, Park is on the right hand side of the Fire Company. This firehouse-themed park is a multi-purpose field which features an oversized field area for lacrosse or soccer, full-size baseball/softball fields, two basketball courts, and fitness trail.
Located at the corner of Sand Spring Road and Coffeetown Road. Directions are Route 309 to Sand Spring Road, follow Sand Spring Road for about 1 3/4 miles to Coffeetown Road and park is on the corner. Kolapechka Park features playground equipment for children, baseball/softball fields, and walking path which connects to NWT Levans Park. In 2020 Kolapechka Park welcomed the Township's first dog park and a playground expansion which includes two new accessible swings and specialty surface.
Located on Levans Road, 1/4 mile from the Township Building on Levans Road. This park/field is a multi-purpose field which offers soccer/lacrosse fields and walking path connecting to Kolapechka Park.
Two playgrounds - located on Independence Drive, which is off Levans Road and behind CVS Drug Store. Directions are Route 309 to Levans Road, left onto Independence Drive; the Park is located at the end of Independence Drive. Independence Park is a multi-purpose field which features playground equipment for children, lacrosse/soccer/baseball/softball fields, sand volleyball courts, horseshoe courts, walking path, and has two pavilions with picnic tables and grills, which are available for rental at a nominal fee. Located along-side the Township Building and Garage - offers baseball/softball (two fields), and basketball (three lighted courts)
Located on Coplay Creek Road. This wildlife park provides an environment for bird watching, nature study and trails. Directions are Route 309, turn onto Sand Spring Road until Coplay Creek Road which will be on your right, another 1/4 mile in on the left side will be Johnson's Pond.
The Township has a Disc Golf Course set up year round (weather permitting) for anyone to use and enjoy. Directions are Route 873 to Neffs Laurys Road for about 3/4 mile and turn left into the park. Coming from Route 329 (Old Post Road), turn onto Neffs Laurys Road for about 3/4 mile and turn right into the park.
The former Ironton Railroad has been transformed into a multi-use, safe, historic, year-round recreational resource for local residents and visitors. The Ironton Rail-Trail (IRT) provides a link between the local communities of Whitehall Township, Borough of Coplay, and North Whitehall Township and some of their recreational area in addition to serving as a spur to the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor.
