Land development and subdivision applications being brought before the Township need review before final approval by the Board of Supervisors. Township Staff and Consultants utilize adopted codes, such as the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance and the Zoning Ordinance to guide and review all developments that are applied for. Township Staff and Consultants review land development applications and produce review letters that are shared with the developers and members of the Planning Commission. The developers then appear before the Planning Commission at a public meeting and present their project. The Planning Commission ultimately offers a recommendation on the project to the Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors then have a public meeting where the developer can present once more, at the end of which the Board of Supervisors votes on the project.

The process does not end there, the project then must be approved by other agencies like the Lehigh County Conservation District, or by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Once the applicant has all required approvals, has established their Letter of Credit, paid all fees, and signed all legal documents/agreements only then can they record their plan and get started with construction.
