The former Ironton Railroad has been transformed into a multi-use, safe, historic, year-round recreational resource for local residents and visitors. The Ironton Rail Trail Oversight Commission (IRTOC) is a joint municipal board created to manage, protect, and develop the 9.2-mile Ironton Rail Trail. The Commission is made up of appointed volunteer delegates and staff representatives from three partner municipalities: Whitehall Township, Coplay Borough, and North Whitehall Township.
