Building Codes Board of Appeals

The Building Code Board of Appeals is comprised of volunteer members with professional experience and expertise in the building and construction trades. These individuals contribute their knowledge and experience to provide an impartial review of appeals involving the interpretation or application of the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code (UCC), the International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC), and the Township's Nuisance Ordinance.

The Board hears appeals and considers requests for variances or extensions of time, where permitted by applicable regulations. Through their volunteer service, Board members help ensure that applicable codes and ordinances are administered fairly and consistently while protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the community.

Meeting Information

The Building Board of Appeals meets on an as-needed basis to consider appeals and other matters within its jurisdiction. Meeting dates and times are established as needed and will be advertised in accordance with applicable public notice requirements.
