PennDOT Announces Start of PA 329 Improvement Project in Lehigh County
Allentown - PennDOT Engineering District 5 today announced work will begin on a roadway rehabilitation project on PA 329 in Whitehall and North Whitehall Townships, Lehigh County.
The project is financed with federal funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
Beginning Wednesday (Oct. 28), motorists can expect weekday lane restrictions with flagging on PA 329 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
During the lane restrictions, motorists may experience traffic delays and are encouraged to use caution driving through the work zone. All work is expected to be complete in June 2010.
All schedules are weather dependent.
PennDOT awarded Eastern Industries, Inc. of Winfield, Union County, a $1,658,358 contract to rehabilitate PA Route 329 in Whitehall and North Whitehall Townships.

Within the six-county District 5 region, PennDOT will invest $122 million of federal economic recovery funds on transportation projects, which include road and bridge improvements and
